|Product Name:||Full Size Bunk Bed with Stairway Chest in Amber Wash Finish|
|Brand:||Coaster Home Furnishings|
|Material:||Wool & Wool Blend|
This bed is beautiful. In fact; it is one of the best looking bunk bed for boys out there at the moment. This bed has of course not been designed for a toddler. It has instead been designed for that older child who wants something a little bit more sophisticated. Let’s take a little look, shall we?
- This is a double bunk bed. Both bunk beds are exactly the same size (most bunk beds have one of the beds smaller, which is not great)
- 2 Drawers under the bed.
- 4 Drawers form the stairs
- Hardwood Construction; Natural Oak Finish
Obviously the biggest pro of this particular bunk bed is the fact that it looks absolutely remarkable. In fact; when it comes to bunk beds for boys it is likely one of the best out there. This bunk bed is ideal for when you are tossing around bedroom ideas for boys which have a slightly more sophisticated feel to them. It is not going to be suitable for a toddler’s room at all. It will be suitable for just about any room where the children are just heading into puberty.
At this price point you will most likely not be surprised at just how well it is constructed. As I mentioned previously; it is mainly a hardwood construction which has been given a natural oak finish. This results in a remarkably stable bed which should be more than suitable for two large children (i.e. over the age of 10).
The amount of storage space that you have available to you in this unit is fantastic too. You get a good number of drawers both on the stairs and under the bed. This makes it suitable for those rooms which may be lacking in the space required for throwing in a chest of drawers or something similar.
One thing that really surprised me about this particular bed is that it is incredibly easy to put together. I have put together a lot of bunk beds for boys in my time. Most of them were dreadfully difficult and resulted in hours upon hours wasted doing nothing more than deciphering the instructions. That is not the case with this particular bed. It is quite a complicated design but I doubt it will take you longer than an hour and a half to put together.
The only real con of this particular bunk bed is the fact that you do not appear to get enough slats to support the mattresses. I know a couple of other parents have had the same problem. You only get three for each bed. I think six would have been a far better number. If you have slightly heavier children then I do suggest that you look into the idea of purchasing a slat kit. It is going to provide that much more support and will end up coming in dreadfully handy for you…particularly as your children get older.Check Special Price on amazon
